AIRPORT OF CHOICE
Enter the ICAO code of the desired airport, or alternatively,
click SHOW All to select the airport from a drop-down list.
OPTIONEFFECT / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
select It is recommended to select the airport first. Some settings, such as movements per hour, require a prior airport selection.

NOTE: If the text input method is used, no additional keystroke or mouse click is required. The input is automatically accepted as soon as a valid ICAO code is entered.

HOURS TO BE PLAYED
Define the number of hours the schedule should include.
1 - 5 hour schedules can be generated.
OPTIONEFFECT / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
number Due to the way the game works, to get the most out of the generated schedule, schedules of up to 2 hours are recommended. Especially if a (very) high traffic volume is targeted, a one-hour schedule is likely to be the best choice.
If a high traffic volume is not targeted, typically no problems are to be expected even with schedules of up to 5 hours.

SET STARTING TIME
Select the hour at whose beginning the first flight should be generated.
Like in the game, the value is set using the 24-hour format.
OPTIONEFFECT / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
time There are 23 hours available for the starting time. The hour 00:00 respectively 24:00 cannot be selected as initial hour in order to avoid additional, complex calculations; also known as the Lazy Programmer Syndrome. However, schedules of several hours will of course work beyond midnight.

MOVEMENTS PER HOUR
Define the number (12 - 158) of commerical flights for pax and cargo per hour.
For 2 to 5 hour schedules it is advisable to set the total volume
below the recommended maximum for the selected airport.
OPTIONEFFECT / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
number When selecting an airport, the slider is set to the recommended maximum, based on a schedule not longer then 2 hours. This maximum corresponds to the total number of flights per hour, including GA flights. The more GA flights are to be used, the lower this value should be.
With a one-hour schedule it is possible to exceed the recommended maximum for most airports. However, it is strongly advised not to overdo it excessively.

WEIGH ARRIVALS/DEPARTURES
Weights arrivals and departures of commercial flights (pax and cargo)
for the first hour of the schedule.
This option affects all GA flights over the entire schedule
but has only a minor impact on them.
OPTIONEFFECT / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
A+++ Commercial: ∼73% arr to ∼27% dep (1st hour)
GA < 8pH: 62% ⇓ arr to 38% ⇑ dep (overall)
GA > 7pH: 58% ⇓ arr to 42% ⇑ dep (overall)
A++ Commercial: ∼64% arr to ∼36% dep (1st hour)
GA < 8pH: 58% ⇓ arr to 42% ⇑ dep (overall)
GA > 7pH: 55% ⇓ arr to 45% ⇑ dep (overall)
A+ Commercial: ∼55% arr to ∼45% dep (1st hour)
GA < 8pH: 54% ⇓ arr to 46% ⇑ dep (overall)
GA > 7pH: 52% ⇓ arr to 48% ⇑ dep (overall)
equal Commercial: ∼50% arr to ∼50% dep (1st hour)
GA: ∼50% ⇓ arr to ∼50% ⇑ dep (overall)
D+ Commercial: ∼45% arr to ∼55% dep (1st hour)
GA < 8pH: 46% ⇑ arr to 54% ⇓ dep (overall)
GA > 7pH: 48% ⇑ arr to 52% ⇓ dep (overall)
D++ Commercial: ∼36% arr to ∼64% dep (1st hour)
GA < 8pH: 42% ⇑ arr to 58% ⇓ dep (overall)
GA > 7pH: 45% ⇑ arr to 55% ⇓ dep (overall)
D+++ Commercial: ∼27% arr to ∼73% dep (1st hour)
GA < 8pH: 38% ⇑ arr to 62% ⇓ dep (overall)
GA > 7pH: 42% ⇑ arr to 58% ⇓ dep (overall)
NOTE: The more commercial flights go out, the more must come back in and vice versa. The more one side is weighted, the stronger this change will be. Whether, when and how often this change takes place is determined by the number of hours in the schedule. The Schedule Builder also varies many of these values and a variety of other values in each schedule creation.
Due to the method of programming, there is a natural variation from hour to hour for GA flights.

FAVOUR REALISM OR VARIETY
Decide if the creation of the schedule should be geared towards the real world
or if you want more variety regarding different commercial airlines.
OPTIONEFFECT / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
REA Based on the entirety of real schedules of several weeks, flights of the different airlines are distributed hourly on a percentage basis. It is attempted to reflect the use of the terminals and aprons as realistically as possible. Due to limitations of the game regarding terminals or taxiways, but also other factors, it is possible that adjustments are made in favor of playability.
VAR To ensure greater variety, the percentage distribution will be shifted to airlines with less regular flights, most likely international ones. How strongly this can be done depends on the individual airport. In addition, airlines that are included in the airport's Real Color Pack but either no longer serve the airport or have ceased flight operations will also be included as well as decommissioned aircraft models. Depending on the airport, this may require drastic changes to the distribution of airlines to the terminals.
The Schedule Builder does not differentiate between year-round and seasonal occurrences for flight destinations. It also does not take into account the time of day at which individual airlines are active or destinations are served, so that the user has full control over the traffic volume for the desired hour(s).

ADDITIONAL GA TRAFFIC
Add GA (General Aviation) flights to the schedule.
For each option, the number of flights per hour depends
on the volume of commercial flights (movements per hour).
OPTIONEFFECT / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
none No GA flights are added. Additional GA settings are ignored.
low
med
These are the common options that can be used for almost all airports that have a working GA apron in the game.
high
over
These options are suitable to be used for airports with a large GA apron. They can also be used if a schedule with few commercial flights is to be created and the previous options would generate fewer GA flights than desired.
xtra
max
special
Be careful with these options. They are primarily intended for airports with large GA aprons, if a large number of GA flights are to be generated with a very small number of commercial flights. They can also be used to try to achieve an even distribution of commercial and GA flights as long as the selected airport can accommodate the amount of GA flights.
To keep schedules with high GA traffic playable, the Schedule Builder does not use aircraft models with very slow approach speeds for schedule creation. Most of the models have the same or similar approach speed as the jets, but some models with a slightly slower speed are also used.

MANEUVERS FOR GA FLIGHTS
Have the GA flights request special flight maneuvers in the game.
Touch-And-Go and Stop-And-Go are available for this.
OPTIONEFFECT / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
none No flight maneuvers are used for GA flights.
less This option should be used if a schedule with many GA flights is planned.
Depending on the volume of GA flights, one or more flight maneuver(s) will be planned for at least one flight, as long as a suitable aircraft model is available with the GA flights used.
For this option to work, approximately a handful of GA flights must be generated.
more At least one flight maneuver will be planned for all suitable aircraft models that meet the internal criteria of the Schedule Builder.
This option should not be used if there are many GA flights planned or the airport has only one or no parallel runways. It can affect the playability and the aircraft will block a gate or a/c stand after completing their maneuvers. However, the Schedule Builder will try not to overdo it and distribute the related flights in a way that the playability of the schedule is given.
Since it could not be confirmed that theoretically available Low-Approches actually work in the game, they are not used by the Schedule Builder.
How often a special flight maneuver is to be executed follows certain parameters of the Schedule Builder, but is ultimately determined randomly during schedule creation.
The following aircraft models are used by the Schedule Builder for flight maneuvers:
C402, BE99, BE33, SR22, PA31, DHC3, C182, B190, BET, CNC, DHC6, PA46, B190, CNF, DH8B, PC12, E110, AN6, ATP, D228, ATR, DH8A, DHC8, DHC7, E120, F27, F50, A748, IL18, I114, N262, SB20, Y12

GA CALLSIGN PHONETICS
Determine how GA callsigns should be spoken for radio communication.
This is especially relevant for users of speech recognition.
OPTIONEFFECT / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
curt The first letter(s) or country identifier is not spoken, nor is a zero directly after it.
Examples:
N0634D ⟹ SIX THREE FOUR DELTA
N634DF ⟹ SIX THREE FOUR DELTA FOXTROTT
C-FDEM ⟹ FOXTROTT DELTA ECHO MIKE
OY-BDL ⟹ BRAVO DELTA LIMA
ctry Here the first letter(s) or country identifier is forced to be spoken. Directly following zeros are also spoken along.
Examples:
N0634D ⟹ NOVEMBER ZERO SIX THREE FOUR DELTA
N634DF ⟹ NOVEMBER SIX THREE FOUR DELTA FOXTROTT
C-FDEM ⟹ CHARLIE FOXTROTT DELTA ECHO MIKE
OY-BDL ⟹ OSCAR YANKEE BRAVO DELTA LIMA
type Here the first letter(s) or country identifier is replaced by an aircraft designator but immediately following zeros are not spoken. In addition, it is important to listen carefully, as different pilots may use different designators for certain aircraft models.
Examples:
(D28) N0634D ⟹ DORNIER SIX THREE FOUR DELTA
(D28) N634DF ⟹ FAIRCHILD SIX THREE FOUR DELTA FOXTROTT
(BE9) C-FDEM ⟹ BEECH FOXTROTT DELTA ECHO MIKE
(BE9) OY-BDL ⟹ BEECHCRAFT BRAVO DELTA LIMA

RETRO RC AIRLINES
Airlines from the latest Real Color Retro Pack are used
with the aircraft models for which the pack contains liveries.
The latest version of the Real Traffic AddOn must be installed.
OPTIONEFFECT / ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
none The retro airlines are not included in the schedule creation.
only In order to get the most out of the Real Color Retro Pack, only airlines that are part of it are used. Other commercial flights and GA flights are not taken into account, nor is the choice between realism and variety.
The distribution among the terminals and the frequency of occurrence of individual airlines per schedule varies. The biggest airlines will not necessarily have the most flights, as this would result in an overload of heavies that would be unfavorable for the game. The Schedule Builder fully focuses on the playability of these schedules.
For airlines that are still in operation today, not exclusively but primarily terminated destinations are used. These, like all other destinations, are destinations that the airlines have actually flown to, but not necessarily from or to the selected airport.
The same applies here as for regular schedules: The Schedule Builder can choose from all airlines in the pack, but this does not imply, that each individual airline is used for each schedule.
fuse With this selection, randomly picked airlines from the Real Color Retro Pack are mixed into the schedule. This option only works with a realism schedule, not with a variety schedule. If a variety schedule is selected, this (fuse) option overwrites your choice. Since the selection is random, it cannot be guaranteed that every airline will fit on the gates of every terminal. So it can happen that the game ignores flights of certain airlines. The Schedule Builder will try to assign the airlines in a way that minimizes this risk.
Furthermore, the occurrence of the airlines with the most flights, e.g. Delta at KATL, will be significantly reduced by integrating the retro airlines into the schedule. The number of retro airlines mixed in the schedule is not random. There will always be 7 airlines selected for each airport.
