• Yes, the goal is that when a schedule is created for an airport for which the user has purchased and installed the corresponding RC Pack, no "white" aircraft models are shown. However, depending on the DLC loading order and other changes, it can happen that not all liveries are shown. The Schedule Builder Tool cannot take individual changes to game and game files into account. The Schedule Builder categorizes airlines on the basis of real traffic volume and tries to distribute flights of the airlines on a percentage basis so that the game can process the data in the best possible way. If the suggested parameters are not respected, it is possible that the game prefers certain flights and thus creates the impression of favoritism. Especially when schedules are created beyond the suggested limits, it cannot be reliably determined how the game will process the data and which flights will be favoured. If you feel that the blancing of the tool is not right for an airline or airlines at a certain airport, please let the author know via the contact form. Possibly more flights were created than the selected airport can handle in the game. A shift in favor of departures could improve the game experience, especially if the schedule is only one or two hours. Yes and no! Aircraft, flight numbers and destinations are largely based on real data. However, there is no verification with actual, real data at the time of schedule creation. Theoretically, this would be possible - but any API access is far too expensive and complicated to implement for this spare time project. This tool uses real destinations, airlines (which are included in the corresponding RC Pack), credible flight numbers and tries to distribute the flights in a way that they can be processed somehow realistically, depending on the selected traffic volume (per hour). This tool does not promise that a certain number of flights will appear. The programming details of the game are defining what will happen. It is up to each individual to ensure that the traffic volume for the selected airport remains within reasonable limits when setting up the schedule. With the help of the community, the goal is to include all airport DLC released by the end of July 2020. This will be a total of 28 airports; 3 from the base game and 25 DLC. All DLC released after July 31, 2020 will not be included in the tool. The author is of the opinion that with 25 DLC the reasonable limit of additional content for the game is reached and has no ambitions to support releases beyond that. The Schedule Builder does not reconcile flight routes with data from the real world. Every user should have the freedom to generate the desired number of flights for the specified starting time. Likewise, no permanent flight routes of the airlines are taken into account. The goal of the Schedule Builder Tool is to create always new and exciting schedules and that according to the individual settings each user defines. The author believes that the theoretically possible generation of exclusively real schedules, which would result in many recurring, identical flights or schedules, is an obstacle to creativity and fun. This could be for several reasons. Most likely, a schedule with many arrivals has been created and too few runways or too few runways with an appropriate size have been activated in the game. As a rule of thumb you can expect an approach every 2 minutes. For example, to get 45 arrivals per hour, 2 long runways should be permanently active. To get the approaches exactly as planned by the Schedule Builder, you are best advised to calculate 2.5 minutes per arrival, which includes GA traffic, and a corresponding number of active runways. An example calculation would be: 45 arrivals times 2.5 divided by 60 minutes, i.e. 45*2.5/60 = 1.87 = 2 required active runways for arrivals. Please note that this may vary from airport to airport due to different predetermined limits on the separation on approach. If you feel that there is something wrong with the programming of the Schedule Builder and therefore this issue occurs, please inform the author via the contact form. No. In the original files it can happen that ICAO and IATA codes are assigned more than once. To ensure that the schedules created here function properly, it is strongly recommended that all files provided are downloaded and that the original files are replaced. It is also possible that e.g. the terminal file or other files change depending on the created schedule and that additional data has been added to e.g. the airports file. In addition, it improves performance as well as speech recognition, if only the contents are present in the files that are used in the schedule. Exceptions are the two files that start with "x_", which contain additional information that is not required for the game. The Schedule Builder principally takes into account all airlines included in the RC Pack for the airport. But this does not mean that all airlines are always used for each individual schedule. Airlines are grouped into categories based on their frequency of occurrence in the real world. For this purpose, several weeks of real schedules were analyzed in advance, as well as permanent and seasonal flight routes. This analysis is done individually for each implemented airport. The most frequently occurring airlines are used for each schedule. For the less frequent airlines, the tool independently decides which airlines and aircraft models are used for the current schedule based on several internal factors as well as the user settings during schedule creation. Even in the real world not every airline flies to the airport every hour or day. It is also possible that an airline has ceased its flight operations in the real world. In this case it will only be considered in the Schedule Builder if a variety schedule is created. But even with a variety schedule, not every available airline will be in one schedule. The capacities of the respective terminals would not allow this. If you miss a certain airline, just create a new schedule for the next session. It is possible that it will then be included. No. The colour coding is merely a subjective evaluation of the individual options. With the exception of too many arrivals, the limit is 19 per 10 minutes, the schedules can still be generated and loaded into the game as set. On orange you exceed the limits set by the Schedule Builder for the airport. This does not mean, however, that the playability of the schedule to be generated is necessarily impaired. In many cases, this does not pose a problem, there is simply the possibility that the schedule will not be smoothly executed by the game, as planned by the Schedule Builder. On red, on the other hand, problems such as flights not appearing, blocked gates, etc. are to be expected. But even this does not mean that the schedule cannot be created and loaded. The Schedule Builder will syntactically arrange the individual parts of the callsigns to match a typical callsign of the country the airport to be played is located. What cannot be achieved, is to take into account further regulations of the country in question. For example, the following callsign could be created for a German airport: D-OTFK. This callsign looks realistic and could theoretically exist in the real world. Taking a closer look, however, you will find that the O in the callsign (at that position) indicates a hot air balloon for the aircraft type, which is obviously not part of the game. Since numbers and letters are generated randomly, the Schedule Builder can make the callsigns look realistic, but it cannot be guaranteed that they actually are realistic and match the aircraft it is used for. (Note: The O was chosen as an example only. The Schedule Builder will not place an O for a German airport at this position in the callsign.) Yes, even with monetized streams and videos. Because a template is used, some users seem to be irritated by the wording of the Use License of the Website Terms and Conditions of Use. The restrictions mentioned there refer only to the website itself, not to the schedules generated with the help of the website. It should not be given the impression that a generated schedule is an official release of the game / add-on developers FeelThere and Nyergesdesign. Apart from that there are no restrictions concerning the use of the schedules generated here. If a schedule generated here is used for a public presentation, a reference to the Schedule Builder would be very kind, but is completely voluntary. Those who play LFPG with a variety schedule may encounter the airline AtlasGlobal. This airline used three Ks as ICAO code in the real world. For reasons that hopefully do not need to be explained, the author has decided to change this code. If a schedule containing this airline is created, the callsign in the game will start with KKO. For the same reason the Schedule Builder will not generate GA callsigns containing a double S. Theoretically it can happen that a GA callsign is generated with three consecutive Ks. However, due to the type of programming, the probability is so low that no checking takes place here. But should it happen though, the author asks for a brief message via the contact form. Then the code of the Schedule Builder will be revised accordingly and as soon as possible. |
